After busy 2018 my wife of 28 years and I decided we needed a break away from work and the kids.
I came across the March lifestyle cruise to New Zealand hosted by some random couple one of whom’s name sounded like a 1970’s Ford sedan 🚘 (how wrong I was😂) Ok we’ll take a punt and book it ?
Corina & Bob were more like a Porsche 911 than a family sedan💃🏿🕺. From the moment we met them at the pre-cruise breakfast along with their other friends we knew we had made the right choice. They took the time to get to know everyone and were genuinely interested in ensuring that everyone had a good experience based upon their own comfort levels. Everyone was well informed of what was going on each day and able to join in or relax at their own pace. We were particularly comforted by the way in which they chose to ensure everyone was included regardless of pre-existing friendships. ( Although the group was very welcoming)
The most difficult thing to explain to our vanilla friends was why we chose a cruise in the first place! Those who know us knew we would last about 15mins around a pool lounge before getting bored 😑. Instead we were running late for dinner from so much socialising!
Then of course is the awkward interrogation of why we enjoyed it so much..which was hard to hide!
We found that we quickly got into the cruise bubble where people and friendship and acceptance wash away the everyday grime of life. It was so nice to be among so many other lovely couples who are all on the same page.
Life’s too short not to (lifestyle) cruise. We’re already going cruising again in 2020 thanks to Bob & Corina 🤗
Wow - I was in the taxi on my way home trying to work out how we could have had such an amazing time. I have been on 2 full takeover cruises and they blow your mind, but I found myself just as exhausted, just as happy, and with just as many new friends from this partial takeover. Like the full takeovers, it was a 10 day full on party, I was never short of someone to have a drink with, we laughed, we met new friends from far and wide, and we rarely slept. Everyone left planning for the next one and looking forward to going to work for a rest. Our first cruise reunion has been planned for next month!
The trip started early with an afternoon and evening at Manly on a rooftop bar on Thursday, a night out in the rocks in a private function area, and breakfast near the ship Saturday morning. Before we got on the ship a lot of friendships had already been forged.
We headed out of Sydney with 50 of us on board. We had people from Florida, Perth, Tassie, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Newcastle, and somewhere best described as "leave Wagga Wagga and keep driving". Ages ranged from 18 (literally) to over 60, with the biggest group being in the 40's and 50's.
The beauty of a group this size is that everyone can cruise their own way, enjoy all the things the ship has to offer, and then always find someone to meet up with when you want to. Some ate every meal with us, others went off to early dinner, or shows, or bed, but we always ended up back together eventually. The piano bar had 2 modes, quiet early in the night, and raging dance party when we all arrived. The drinks package was fantastic, with cocktails flowing constantly. One $20 tip got us the best service you would ever ask for, and a million laughs.
By the second or third day there was no need for special lanyards or secret handshakes to identify each other.
We generally managed to stay under the radar, despite the vanilla facebook group with 500 members finding our website and declaring they were on a swingers cruise! After the initial shock and horror, they started to have a bit of fun with it, and google told them that pineapples were the international symbol for swingers. Facebook filled up with a photo anytime someone saw a pineapple shirt, a pineapple cup, and they even managed to find a pineapple haircut! Of course, we played along and all wore pineapple stuff on the last night to "come out of the closet". We even had the cruise director laughing every time he saw there were pineapples in the cocktail of the day during the ships morning TV show.
We don't organise play rooms, and believe we can all arrange to entertain in our cabins. So while I cannot report on that activity, I'm pretty sure most couples found their own new friends, and at least one cabin was able to fit 9 people ;)
The thing that really struck me is that cruising is a great holiday with your partner, a bit more interesting if you can get a group of friends together, and just amazing if your group of friends is 50 strong, all lifestyle people, and all ready for a 10 day party.
10 days was a long cruise, and we all felt totally shattered when we got off. Work has been a nice break this week.
The main thing that has come from the cruise though is the friendships that have been formed. You cannot compare the interaction you have at a party to the friendship you can form over 10 or 12 days of spending time with other couples. I have undoubtedly made friends on this cruise that we will have for life, and many more who we will see often in future. I am sure most of the group will have had the same thoughts.
Oh. and the ship was amazing, but you can read about that anywhere. For those who have only ever gone on the cheap and cheerful family cruise lines, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity really do take the experience up a few levels.
What REALLY happens on a full-takeover swingers’ Caribbean cruise?
Is it as fun, friendly and filthy as you hope it might be?
Tired of reading one-line reviews that say ‘’Oh my god, it was amazing!’’ and want to know a whole lot more?
We’re here to help! Here’s our no-holes-barred report of our 6 days on board the Celebrity Equinox, chartered by Bliss Cruises for a Caribbean voyage in early November.
We chose a Bliss full takeover cruise after reading various recommendations online over the last few years, not least from Corina, the very knowledgeable co-ordinator/travel agent in this group. But it wasn’t just her - every other report was positive, though none were in any great detail.
Full disclosure: we’ve been a swinging couple for over 10yrs, and when we go out to a party, we go to play. We weren’t going on a Bliss Cruise to just enjoy nude sunbathing and the sea air. We love to meet complete strangers, socialise with them and f**k them. Sometimes we even skip the socialising. That’s our thing. It may not be your thing, but keep in mind as you read this that we are not newbies.
We regard all references to ‘’the lifestyle’’ (as the Americans so charmingly and discreetly call it) and pineapples as quaint and possibly ridiculous. We are very comfortable with our approach. We are friendly, extremely sociable, and we know what we like. As it turns out, that’s a winning combination on a naughty ship.
We had NEVER been on any kind of cruise ship before. Nothing bigger than car ferries all over the world. We were almost as excited about being on a big boat in the Caribbean as we were about the nature of the cruise. Now read on…..
The first thing is, booking the cruise. Corina will guide you, as she did us. First time out, we cheapskated, figuring in our own slutty way that if we are half as lucky as we hope to be we will get to see a variety of cabin styles and sizes ;-) and we won’t be spending too much time in our own cabin anyway.
So we booked the cheapest cabin, interior (no window, balcony, no view). And it was good. We are not claustrophobic, and we were comfortable throughout with that choice. But we both agreed at the end of the cruise, having (ahem!) visited other cabins, that we would choose a sea view with a little balcony next time. It’s just that little bit nicer. But there are no issues if you do decide to go cheap.
So once you’ve booked the cabin, what next?
Usually you wait months and sometimes more than a year until you set sail. Two things to do: book the pre-cruise hotel and .... network online.
Corina was right on the money when she told us the Right Connections Travel pre-cruise hotel was the one to go to with the best party. More on that in a minute. But first a word about ‘’meeting’’ your fellow cruise passengers on the internet way before you arrive at the ship.
About 10-12 months ahead of sail date, dedicated groups start to be formed on Facebook by old hands who have been on several/many Bliss cruises. You just search using ‘’Bliss cruise’’ or ship name and you find them easily. The groups are private, your mum cannot see what you post.
Couples post their photo, location, likes/dislikes, age, etc etc and you all start chatting in FB. And even singly in FB Messenger.
As the cruise gets nearer and people get hornier, much of the action switches to Telegram (app) groups where there is no censorship, and the explicit photos and posts start to come thick and fast. Both in cruise groups and individual chats.
Those all go as mild and wild as you want. K at one stage found himself being called regularly by a married nurse in Oklahoma City who insisted on masturbating on FaceTime for him, telling him how much dick she wanted to suck on the ship, and ‘’you can be first!’’ He was. Probably. LOL
The thing to remember is that the months of chatting, messaging and general teasing on social media apps can be a valuable first step to a fun relationship on board, but ABSOLUTELY NOTHING succeeds on the ship like personal interaction, even impromptu, with complete strangers.
We were in just about every FB/Telegram going as far as we could discern, but adding it all up, the number of people who were active in them all accounted for far less than 10% of the total passenger log. One couple told us with regret that they had no idea that people were ‘’socialising’’ online in the months before the ship’s departure, and they felt that they had missed out. Absolutely not. Some people, also, are all talk.
By the time we got to the pre-cruise hotel very close to the Port Everglades dock where the Celebrity Equinox was to depart from, we had a few couples to meet based on internet exchanges, and a huge appetite for fun which had been building for 14 months. Airport tip for Caribbean cruises: Fort Lauderdale airport is a lot closer to the cruise dock than Miami Airport.
We checked in on Friday, the day BEFORE the official pre-cruise parties. On the Saturday, the hotel was closed to all but Bliss Cruise customers, and sold out. (The big selling point of the Right Connections Travel hotel…. shut to the general public the day before the ship sails, and an afternoon pool party which no other pre-cruise hotel offered). But on the Friday there were still some vanilla guests on the premises and nothing planned cruise-wise beyond a discreet informal meet-and-greet in one bar, organised online.
So we got our room keys and headed to the lift and who should we meet but one particular couple we had been chatting to and firing with online in the previous 6-8 weeks. We gave them our room number. Half an hour later the phone rang in our room. It was them inviting us to start the week right. Within 30min we were naked in their room, playing. Lovely people, and so hospitable.
It happened twice more with two different couples that night, during/after the meet and greet.
Let us confirm for you, an Aussie/Kiwi accent goes A LONG WAY on these cruises to breaking the ice and removing the clothing. If you are in reasonable shape, confident, friendly, and not shy about approaching people (as so many Americans are - frankly many are terrified to ask and they are petrified of rejection, no matter how much they want to play), then you are in like Flynn, that great Tasmanian. We mean it. That’s the one thing we learned above all else.
On the Saturday the hotel was really buzzing, crowded with cruise couples. Like the make-up of the ship’s passengers, 80% American. The vast majority aged over 40 and under 70. Some younger, some older.
Sadly the afternoon pool party was a bit of a fizz because it was cloudy, not hot, and the pool water was cool. But the friendly socialising was off the charts, you really could approach any couple, any group, introduce yourselves and start telling your best Aussie-flavoured lies. They loved it. We were hosted by another lovely couple in their room on the Saturday night after the evening meet and greet. All across the entire hotel, sparks were flying everywhere.
And now, to ship ….
When you are boarding you actually do have the option of taking all your luggage on board by yourself. We found this out by accident - mistakenly thinking that a porter motioning to us to drop our bags by his trolley was seeking a tip to wheel them 50m to where we were about to sit pre-boarding. We politely refused. In fact, he was inviting us to do what almost every other passenger had done, and drop our luggage to be later delivered to our cabin door. We carried all ours on board, and so had everything with us the moment we entered our cabin. We observed some frustrated passengers still waiting for their suitcases a couple of hours later.
Before you get on board, your luggage is searched. DON’T bring anything illegal in your luggage. Sniffer dogs do turn up.
Ah, but should you smuggle booze on board? Million-dollar question.
The drinks packages are expensive. Do your maths. If one person in the cabin buys the drink package, the other person in the cabin must do so also.
The basic booze package (not even the deluxe one) rounded out at $Aust900 each for us. That’s $1800 for us both for six full days. You pay that up front and you do not pay at the bars on board. Unlimited drinks, pre-paid. But M doesn’t go harder than two glasses of wine and two cocktails all day and night. K is a steady drinker, but would certainly be drunk getting value for money. We decided not to buy the drinks package, and took the permitted two bottles of wine and a slab of small bottles of water on board.
We also bought ‘’rum runner’’ flasks off Amazon and poured into those two large quart bottles of pre-mixed margarita, a small bottle of bourbon, and a very large can of beer - the latter just as a test of the bag search before getting on the ship.
Everybody in the pre-cruise chat groups/FB pages had a view on booze smuggling. ‘’Don’t do it, you will get caught, guarantee it, shamed in front of fellow passengers’’ etc etc etc was one common opinion. Others highly recommended doing so to avoid having to shell out for two costly booze packages if only one of you was a moderate to steady drinker (like us).
Our bags went through the same scanner as everyone’s and we never got stopped or pinged. Not even for the big can of beer. You decide. We were so glad we did it.
The Celebrity Equinox is the Celebrity line’s dedicated Caribbean cruiser and despite only being built in 2009 was extensively renovated at a cost of tens of millions of dollars in 2019. Given the pandemic-enforced halt to cruises, it felt like getting on a fairly new ship. Bliss Cruises charter a variety of ships, but we really liked this one.
Of course, family and vanilla friends were intrigued to know we were going on our first cruise. It’s best not to disclose the name of the ship though, if you wish to maintain discretion. It doesn’t take a detective to scroll too far down the Google results and eventually **maybe** find the Bliss Cruises website result that mentions the Celebrity Equinox full-takeover swingers’ voyage. Even though the week of the Bliss charter is thankfully mysteriously missing from the Celebrity Equinox’s sailing schedule on the Celebrity Cruise Line website itself. Exercise caution: we put off M’s inquisitive Mum by saying it was an anniversary surprise and K would not be telling M or anyone until we were in Florida. There are also other vanilla cruises that leave on the same day and return about the same day, if you want to use those as an alibi. Google the Port Everglades cruise departures schedule.
So you’re on the ship, settled in to your cabin, and ready to mingle. DO IT!
There’s a big program of daily activities, including a LOT of ‘’meet and greet’’ events. You can see the activities and information by clicking on this link below and then click on ‘’cruise booklet’’ on the page. Something for every taste……seminars, workshops …….. it’s all here. You get this online weeks before the cruise, a hard copy pre-boarding, and you get ‘’today’s activities’’ on an A4 sheet delivered to your cabin late at night for the next day.
We were excited by the idea of the meet and greets and couples speed-dating sessions etc etc before the cruise. And once on board we did quite a lot of them. With mixed ‘’results’’. But the one thing we learned quickly is that spontaneous and impromptu meetings with other couples resulted in the most fun. Get in the pool and mingle. Go to any one of the several bars and mingle. Go to the playrooms and REALLY mingle ;-)
To repeat, with an Aussie/Kiwi accent, you have an instant conversation starter and people are really friendly and want to meet strangers. And you don’t stay strangers for long.
And if you are chatting to a couple and you sense a mutual liking and you want to play, make the offer there and then. We quickly learned that agreeing to meet up later at some bar, restaurant, poolside or playroom often ended in disappointment because no matter how genuine the intention, EVERYBODY gets waylaid, delayed, distracted or even a better offer without warning on this kind of cruise. And cannot therefore make the rendezvous with you. Be warned!
The vast majority of cruisers on our ship were Americans aged over 40. The age range was wide, but there were very few under-30s that we saw. 70% would have been 40-65, 20% aged 30-40, 10% over 70.
We met couples from Iceland, New Zealand, Britain, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany ……. And about 3 Aussie couples.
We will say it, in case you are wondering. Unlike the average US shopping mall, there weren’t many grossly overweight people. The vast majority of passengers were of average build. And there were plenty of fit hotties of all ages, of both sexes, too. We were pleasantly surprised.
Here’s another thing. Countless couples we met were on their 5th to 12th Bliss Cruise. Many folks throw their vacation bucket lists out the window and just keep coming back to do this. It’s not our idea to do the same thing every year on an overseas holiday, but when we win Lotto we will certainly do every Bliss cruise from then on.
The ship’s amenities were GREAT. We are no strangers to fine dining, but we found the buffet meals to be excellent all day long, and loved the fact that the biggest dining room was open midnight-3am to take care of the after-fun munchies.
You can pay extra and go into several restaurants on board, but we felt no need to do that.
Evening meals were held in 2 swish dining rooms with full wait service and a menu offered just as it you were fine-dining…..a buffet artfully disguised as a restaurant. Very enjoyable.
A word about tipping. Whatever your thoughts on a US system which does not pay a decent basic wage and sees the hospitality workers rely on tips to pay the rent and meet their bills …. just like on dry land, it works wonders. We gave our wine waiter $10 the first two evenings the moment he appeared and sure enough he then came looking for us every night to keep that rolling. And we got free refills of fizz.
There are four playrooms on board. What is known as the solarium on vanilla cruises (a sun-bake glasshouse with a pool in the middle) on the Celebrity Equinox is transformed into a huge couples-only playroom, with the huge glass panes covered up and sunbeds replaced by scores of mattresses.
Two conference rooms and an outdoor basketball court are also repurposed for sin. Anyone can walk in as a single, though there are the usual strict rules about loitering and waiting to be invited to play. Happy to report that M attracted a small but engrossed audience as three black men enjoyed her in full public view of K, single men and couples. Everybody was respectful.
A team of Bliss volunteers staffs the playrooms during their opening hours day and night (they are not open 24/7). These good Samaritans are quick to attend any vacated beds, stripping the wet sheets, mopping the mattresses and resheeting the beds within minutes. Condoms and wrappers and wipes picked up and removed. A very seamless operation performed with a smile and no fuss. Impressive.
The playrooms were heaving at night, but then so were the dance floors. The themed fancy dress dancefloor parties were exceptional fun. EVERYBODY was in a party mood and they were some of the best nights out we’ve ever had. Say no more. And that’s before we got picked up LOL.
The fancy-dress themes are not mandatory at all, but most passengers dressed up for at least a couple of them. Choose the themes which suit you and don’t worry about the others.
And the really naughty fun? Here’s just a couple of examples……
1/ Very hot couple in their early 50s approached us totally out of the blue in the middle of the dancefloor on night 2. We had never seen them or spoken to them before. The stunning wife put her arm around K’s waist and her tongue in his mouth. Her husband did the same to M. I said: ‘’Wow, hello! … where is this going?’’ She said: ‘’Back to our cabin right away, if you are both happy with that idea.” Ten minutes later we were indeed naked and playing in their cabin. Delicious encounter.
2/ A Florida wife messaged me on Facebook the day before the cruise. ‘’Been enjoying your posts in the FB group … I like a sense of humour and a sharp mind. Here’s my photo. And one of my husband. We should meet, swap and f**k on the ship.’’ Me (after showing photos to M): ‘’Yes ma’am! M agrees. Here’s our cabin number, ring our cabin phone.’’ Two days later the phone rings in our cabin. ‘’Hello, it’s Colleen here. I’m ready for you. Jeff is ready for your lovely wife. Shall we?’’ Me: ‘’Yes ma’am!’’ Bear in mind that this was essentially a blind date, but still we knocked on their cabin door 15min later. I left M to the tender mercies of Jeff, and escorted Colleen back to our cabin. An hour later, we reunited at their cabin. Lovely people. We repeated that, dined with them a couple of times, and are planning to see them again.
3/ We’re at the basketball court outdoor playroom high up at the rear of the ship in the afternoon and it’s very windy and we are actually having to sit on the mattresses to stop the sheets blowing away. A lovely looking couple come up to M and myself and ask if we would like to play with them. This is a no-brainer - again this is a couple in their 50s who are very fit, and if she was not a high school cheerleader in her younger days, then she was certainly popular with the boys. Quite the stunner, still. So we’ve swapped and are bouncing up and down on the play beds and it’s turning into a howling gale and we just end up laughing because it’s so absurdly funny to be in such a situation and trying to maintain that horny edge. We give up in the face of nature’s own blow job and take them down to the solarium instead for a four-way fun finish.
4/ We are in Haiti taking selfies on the beautifully but heavily protected beach (we were shocked to see that the cruise stopped in one of the world’s most dangerous nations, until we researched and found that US cruise lines actually own the Labadee peninsula where the ships dock, and that it is heavily barricaded to stop machine-gun militants who are literally raising hell in the deadly suburbs of Port-au-Prince 100km away from trying their luck robbing foreign tourists. Did you spot the armed patrol ships in the bay too?). A nice American couple step in and generously offer to take a few shots of us on our phones. We engage in conversation and ask if they are having fun on board. The chat turns spicy pretty quickly. They confess that they have not played with any couples yet as they are a bit nervous about asking, but they regret that fact and are keen to get on the scoreboard. We admonish them in a good-natured way as we are all walking back to the ship and offer to break their duck. We walk them back to their cabin, and within 5min we are all f****ing.
5/ We meet a 50something fit Palestinian-American couple at a ‘’hall pass’’ afternoon meet and greet session at one of the bars. (Hall pass = you have permission to play solo without your partner. People rock up singly to the daily HP meet and greets, or come as a couple as we did and enjoy the anticipation of seeing who gets picked up first). He has been eyeing up M for quite a while, but appears a little shy to approach her. I go over and whisper to him that he really should step up and say hello to her, and invite him to point out his wife, if she is there. She is there…… and she is a sexy little beast in spectacles. Very bubbly. Well, we all click like a 15yr old boy on YouPorn and within 10min I am kissing M goodbye as she goes off with Scott to their cabin, while Dena is rubbing my hard cock on the front of my jeans and virtually dragging me back to our cabin. We reunite at theirs about 90min later, and all pronounce the pairing-off a spectacular success. (I have never met a woman before who squirts simply upon hearing exactly the right kind of dirty talk that triggers her……). Turns out they live in San Francisco about half a mile from where one of our vanilla best friends runs a shop. Scott has already been in to that shop to meet our best friend, and we are already making plans to meet Scott and Dena again in San Francisco when we visit our good friend there. As Corina says, you really can meet lifelong friends on one of these cruises, and we think we’ve found ours right there.
In case you are wondering …. ahem..... in six full days on board ship we did keep tally and we played with 37-38 couples (both as a foursome, and swapping separately) and additionally had 2-3 single encounters each. M said to me after it ended: ‘’Did you see how mad it was each night in the playrooms? We could have had a lot more sex if we weren’t dancing so much!’’
If you WANT to have your naughtiest week ever, we are here to say a Bliss cruise will deliver. But again, your ‘’success’’ rate (if that matters to you) depends on how outgoing you are. We are certain there are couples who had far more fun than us. But we were more than satisfied.
The day we left the ship, we filled in time by going on an Everglades airboat ride. We ended up at the airboats park chatting to a couple who were Bliss volunteers in the playrooms on the Celebrity Equinox. He recognised M and initiated a bit of cheeky chat, and said (a lot of this based on seeing her with the three black men with the crowd watching, we feel): ‘’We saw you in playrooms a few times. We’ve got you in the All-Star Team for that cruise!’’
We giggled and told him how many couples we had played with altogether over the week.
His jaw dropped. ‘’Screw that. You’re both now in the Hall of Fame!’’
We think he was being generous, but it was funny.
Kinkiest thing we saw all week was in the ship’s library. Yes, it has one. Very occasionally, we spotted individuals actually reading books, having some intellectual down time. Outrageous!
Final tip. If the Bliss cruise makes you horny, and you want a bit more fun after it ends, book this hotel: the Hampton Inn at 4499 W Commercial Boulevard, Tamarac.
It just a few km north of the cruise port at Fort Lauderdale, and not only is it a great-value and nice hotel with a shopping mall right next door, but it’s just a safe 200m walk from Trapeze, one of the best swingers’ clubs on the US east coast. But that’s another filthy story……. We got home exhausted but happy.
Overall, the cruise was a 10/10 experience. Would we do it again? In a heartbeat. BUT …. in a couple of years’ time. There is so much in the world to see, and a resourceful couple can get laid in any country. Or ocean. We like holiday variety, but we did love our Bliss Cruise and we highly recommend it.
Happy Cruising!
K and M (Melbourne)
As this was our second such cruise we were a little more prepared (not in terms of costumes though - maybe next year).
We have discovered that the actual act of "swinging" was far less important on this cruise than we thought it would be. Of course there are always those that are more interested in notches on the bed but for most it was secondary. It is the people on these cruises that make it such a special event. They are the happiest, most honest, most fun. most accepting most ....etc etc people we have ever met. We were amazed at how many people we remembered from last year and how easy it was to pick up as old friends and catch up for so many laughs.
It is difficult to explain the atmosphere, I think "sexy carnival". Jo and I danced till at least 2 each night, with each other and with other friends, where the sexual tension and fun was awesome. We have found our comfortable spot by doing these cruises. We love to meet people, get to know them a little and flirt and tease and dance and .... then if something happens it does but we do not care if it doesn't, it was all good fun. We met made more friends this cruise and expect to meet more friends next cruise. We have invites from all over the world and hope (like you) people will come over here and enjoy our hospitality.
One thing you mentioned that we (particularly me - Steve) found, was the ability to compliment women on how they looked and not be looked on as a perve or rude or strange. We were walking down the promenade and in front of us was a couple where the lady was in a very short school girls skirt, displaying a wonderful butt. We both commented on it and Jo told me that I should tell her. The couple happened to stop at the same bar we were going to and I did just that. The response was...."thank you so much, I work hard to try and keep this arse". You do not get that on a vanilla cruise LOL.
We have also just cancelled a Mediterranean vanilla cruise we had booked for July, one of the main reasons was that we just could not see ourselves having as much fun and then being disappointed. These cruises have ruined our cruising experience!!!!!!!! LOL
Corina and I, and 2 friends headed off to Florida in December 2018 for a 7 night Bliss cruise.
A Bliss cruise is a total cruise ship takeover (they actually charter the boat and sell their own tickets) for swingers and the occasional non swinging nudist. Yes, there are 2,800 swingers on a boat.
The boat was the Celebrity Silhouette, which is 5 star, and as good as any that sail from Australia. It did everything the same way it normally does, so all you miss out on compared to a normal cruise is the seniors lawn bowls at 11 am. The ship just operated as normal.
There were a few changes though - the indoor adults pool area was converted to a 100 bed play room! Each bed had a steel frame around it and curtains for privacy. You were not allowed in there unless you were playing, and no boys allowed in alone.
Another room upstairs, and an open deck were also turned into play rooms. No need to ever have people back to your cabin if you want to make it your sanctuary.
The entertainment for the cruise wasn't bingo and book club, it was massage classes and bondage lessons and sex talks. You have to see 200 ladies in the play room being massaged by their partners and orgasming at almost the same time!
An hour out of port the announcement would come over the loud speaker that it was now ok to be naked on the pool deck. That deck was instantly and constantly the party central for the cruise! On a deck that normally has one bar, they set up an additional 6 temporary bars. In case you are wondering, yes, most people did end up naked a lot of the time.
We had 7 days of partying, interrupted by 3 days where we stopped at various Caribbean islands.
They sell a drinks package, so an icy cocktail was always available and "free" once you paid the up front fee.
We met all the people who booked through our travel agent at a hotel in Fort Lauderdale for the 2 days before the cruise, and I think we had just as much fun at the Hilton pool bar (and our room) as we did on the ship. That’s a definite add on.
The average age would be what you would get at any party, 35 to 55, with a few older, and a good number of younger people. There was a large number of younger people who seemed to dance all night around the pool deck and then sleep till the afternoon. I doubt there was anyone who didn't have a lot of people their own age to socialise with.
How much sex you get is entirely up to you, there was certainly enough people there that you could never miss out, and I'm sure some people didn't sleep!
However, the thing that amazed me is the number of genuine friends we made from all over the US and Canada. (The vast majority of passengers were from there).
The other thing is that almost everyone goes on these cruises every year. It was rarely anyone said this was their first swingers cruise. I guess that shows what a fantastic time it is.
So how good was it? Corina and I booked for the next 2 years before we left the ship!
We offer a range of activities including live entertainment, fitness classes, spa treatments, and shore excursions. We also have onboard activities like mini-golf, rock climbing, and movie nights.
